I use a virtual service for my Primary Care Physician. The beauty of that is that it allows for later appointments. The one I had today was, hilariously, at 8:45PM.
That being said, she's one of the best PCPs I've ever had in my entire life. Right up there with the pediatrician I had a crush on as a teenager.
Not only does she listen, she calls out shitty behavior by other providers, which is incredibly reassuring as a patient. She was like "you know what works for you sometimes and there's no reason you can't go back to that". Like...YES. YES THANK YOU. Especially if it's an issue that I've danced with for yearsssss.
Another plus is that it's been months since she's seen me and she remembered all of my issues without even looking at her notes. She was like "I love when I get you because you just get it".
I want to kiss her face at this point.
The only bad spot is that she has a habit of ordering the wrong things for my diabetic meter and lancets, but she can learn. I believe in her. lol.
